What you can ask

The assistant finds the right post office, parcel locker or mailbox and reads its opening hours, open-now status and address. Each answer links back to the full page on poste.cc.

How to connect

Claude

In claude.ai open Customize → Connectors, choose Add custom connector, name it “poste” and paste the server URL below. No sign-in or API key is needed. Then enable it in a chat from the tools menu.

ChatGPT

Settings → Security and login → turn on Developer mode, then Plugins → + → Create app → Create MCP App with the server URL below and “No Auth”, and mention @poste in a chat.

This is a standard remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP), so any MCP-capable client can use it.

Tools

All tools are read-only and public — nothing is written, no login is involved.

• search_postal_locations — find post offices (branches), parcel lockers (paketomati) and street mailboxes by place name, postal code, branch code, address or nickname. Results include open-now status and today’s hours for post offices, and which post office empties each mailbox.
• find_nearest — the nearest post offices, parcel lockers and mailboxes to a latitude/longitude, with distance.
• get_post_office — one branch by its code: 7-day opening hours with Slovenian public holidays applied, open now and the next change, on-duty (dežurna) hours, mobile post office stops, services, phone numbers, notes and nearby alternatives.

Good to know

• Covers Pošta Slovenije in Slovenia only.
• Data is refreshed from Pošta Slovenije’s public website every 6 hours, Monday to Saturday. Short-notice changes may not show up yet.
• Street mailboxes have no collection times — only their location and the post office that empties them.
• poste.cc is an unofficial service and not affiliated with Pošta Slovenije. For official information see posta.si.

Privacy

The connector only receives what the assistant sends for a lookup (a place name, postal code, address, branch code, or coordinates if you share your location) — never your chat, name or account. Nothing is kept beyond routine server logs, which are deleted within about two months. Details: privacy policy and terms of use.
